Analysis
In-depth Analysis & Information Gathering
Once we are contacted to come on-site, we ensure that we ask the right questions even before we set foot on your premises. This is based on a template of questions which we will ask the client in order for us to determine the detail of expertise required, a good idea of what the problem is and what the client wants achieved by engaging the services of Muyid Consultancy.
Collation
Information Collation and Initial Recommendations
This involves asking all the right questions from the clients especially the stakeholders within the company. We will also be on-site to observe current business practise, take stock of what the current infrastructure is and make detailed notes of what is then required in terms of hardware, software and other peripherals.
This is then presented to the client as a Design document with the various options the client may wish to undertake.
Also at this stage, a cost for undertaking the project – if the engagement proceeds past this point is presented to the client.
If the client wishes to stop using our services at this stage, we will charge the full consultancy fees. If however our services are engaged beyond this point, a percentage is taken off the Consultancy fees which is then added to the total costs of implementing the desired solution.
Presentation
Report Presentation & Engagement
Once past Stage 2 and the client wishes to proceed, a Project Manager from our Project Management Office (PMO) and a Technical Account Manager (TAM) will now sit down with the client and draw up the contracts and engagement terms and conditions
This is a very important process as both the client and we need to have a clear understanding and agreement on what we promise to deliver on completion of the project Once the terms of engagement are agreed and signed, we then move on to the next phase.
Options
Design Options & Solution Architecture
This phase determines the intrinsic details on what and how the solution will be delivered.
This includes, hardware and software requirements, personnel requirements from both the client side and us (Muyid Consultancy), scheduling and time-frames of the stage by stage implementation for this particular project cycle
Design
Design Solution
This is the stage when a "Go-No-Go" is undertaken. At this stage, it will be clear to all – based on analysis, architecture and design the best path/route to take to accomplish the client requirements.
We are aware that a lot of "unknowns" will now have become "knowns". This is also the time to make any amendments – if necessary – to the original Rules of Engagement before we move to the next stage
Plan
Planning Phase & Solution Build
Before we go ahead to commit money to buy hardware and software, we will attempt to build the environment on a smaller scale and then perform the necessary testing required.
Depending on the project we may need to conduct System Testing, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, Stress Testing, Penetration Testing and Application Testing , just to name a few.
What is to be tested will be determined by the client but based on our recommendations.
Test
Testing, Client Acceptance & Deployment
This is more definitive stage as based on the testing carried out and acceptance by the client of the findings, we may need to adjust earlier the focus, design and requirements.
At this stage, all hardware and software required must have been procured for eventual deployment.
Post deployment, we will then commence detailed build documentation and training for subsequent hand-over to the client staff who will manage the new infrastructure. We also ensure that the client is confident of been able to manage the newly deployed solution in terms of understanding the environment. This is where detailed training and briefing to the business is undertaken.
If we are engaged however to support the newly deployed solution, our Technical Support Consultants (TSC) will now be in place to commence Business-As-Usual (BAU) support.
Handover
Completion and Handover
Based on the terms of engagement we will then commence the smooth transition from our Consultants to your support staff. This process involves on-site and off-site training, mentoring and knowledge transfer.
Again if we are engaged to support the new environment and solution, we will still ensure that your support team and personnel are trained up to eventually take ownership of your newly built and deployed solution.
At every stage of the project we will ensure the following:
- Agreed regular meetings between the client and our Consultants
- Regular updates in the form of documentation
- Project is not overrun – costs and time agreed for delivery of solution
- Issues that may arise are dealt with effectively with a view to completing on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of the client
